Nascar Camping

My son and I attended our first NASCAR race at Bristol and loved it! We live in Oregon and the closest races seem to be in N. California or maybe Vegas. We're intrigued with the idea of "camping out" at Vegas in February, but have no idea how one goes about doing something like that. I imagine there's a long waiting list for spot in the infield camping area? Are RV's set up and for rent in these areas, or do you need to bring your own? Any information from those with experience doing this would be much appreciated!

Thanks.

Gary

Hey Gary, we've camped at Vegas speedway before and it's a blast! The best spots are the Checkered Flag campground, just steps away from the Speedway entrance. You can check out all the vendors, Speedchannel, ... We've stayed there and it's pretty cool. Plenty of spots still available they cost about $499. However, Tickets for the race are extra. There's also the infield camping which run from $900-1,100 and come with 6 wristbands for the Sat. race. You can see the race from the top of your RV, not sure how good the view is... anybody else know?? Last check they still have tickets... More info at http://www.lvms.com/fans/camping/nscs/ Also check out CruiseAmerica.com for renting RV's in Vegas. Good luck, camping's the only way to see a race!! We've also done the race in Sonoma, Infineon Race That's fun as well. Cheers, jeff
