Darryl, I've rented the Sprint FanView each time I've gone to Dover. From my experience, I've only been able to hear anything pretty much when the race started and only until it ends. I don't know about qualifying or practice tho. I've never tried. Keep in mind if you're a Sprint customer and you rent it one, you get a discount.

Also, how many has used fanview or own fanview? Is there any part of the unit active all the time like the (scanner) or is the whole unit dead until you have it activated for that race or season.

I know Dover race is approaching. Is there a map of the campground that shows each site number you can choose from.
